I found Madsuks post at least half logical. And what about your answer above?

Chadra Choot! Well, I am sure that GroovyJobs being a dead end would be no crime. Nobody forced you to go there, did they.

Choot Chandar! Oooops I am sorry! I meant Chadra Choot! I am also sure the two friends who you claimed dropped out will not be able to give out their identities (conveniently) or their admission letters (conveniently again).

Chandra Choot, Don't people leave aamar XL to join IIMs? Or to go abroad in the first term itself? I know of more than two who did that. Ask our admissions committee, they have a waiting list just because they also realize people drop out.

Chadra Choot, Flagrantly claiming that the two dropped out of IIPM (if at all they were selected) because IIPM offered nothing close to MBA is hilarious. And more hilarious is that your dear friends did an MA after that. Wow! Zapped out man!

Chandra Choot, Now let's talk about your personally being to IIPM's Chennai campus.

For the readers' benefit, let me copy here the only statements you have made about the IIPM campus on your web site -

"I signed up for the entrance test for their 2 year shit certificate that they try to pass off as an MBA. Now, contrary to their misleading claims in newspapers, IIPM’s Madras campus is a blue and purple glass building, all of 6 floors, in a 60×80 plot in Egmore. Definitely low-key. But their advertisements claim a mix of “Old-English architecture in verdant, landscaped gardens combined with modern high-rise buildings"

Dear Chandra Choot,
I don't quite get it. Did you confuse yourself with IIPM advertising its Delhi campus? Or did you deliberately misread the IIPM advertisement? Because as far as we know, IIPM only writes the landscaped stuff about its Delhi campus. Or have you convenientely again had selective amnesia Mr. Chandar Choot?

And was a blue and purple glass six floor building not up to your pithy standards My dear Chandar Choot?

It's quite surprising that you yourself claim to have been selected by IIPM. It's a bet you can't for pits show your admission letter. You know why, because you are from selective amnesia. And of course, and most importantly, you are the Chooots of all Chanders.

The Chander Choot.

Regards,
Always Da Anonymous
(How wuz this reply Madsuks?)Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6521860.post-1129349188672939312005-10-14T21:06:00.000-07:002005-10-14T21:06:00.000-07:00Madhukar,You've made a valid point, that of not ge...Madhukar,

You've made a valid point, that of not getting carried away and doing some solid fact finding first.
Well, That's what all of us have been doing, in our own ways. I personally have been checking out IIPM's different websites, trying to see where they take me, and what I've found is most these websites are crosslinked (not a illegal thing, but definitely suspicious) and especially, their Groovyjobs placement website is a dead-end. They can offer no jobs, nor do they do any career counselling. I mailed 4 of the faculty mentioned in their career counselling page and haven't recieved replies yet. I would wonder why...

Second, I have personally been to IIPM's Madras campus (i made a post about it here - http://www.selectiveamnesia.org/2005/10/12/iipm-is-stupid/)
I know two other people who dropped out of IIPM madras for they didn't think it was anything remotely like they claimed it to be and did an MA.
SO that takes care of your second point. All this leads to some very curious thing - what is IIPM exactly doing?

Chandrachoodan - Selective AmnesiaRavages/CChttps://www.blogger.com/profile/16652864017812270505noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6521860.post-1129299642349745992005-10-14T07:20:00.000-07:002005-10-14T07:20:00.000-07:00Thanks!Yes, I have been visiting some of these blo...Thanks!
Yes, I have been visiting some of these blogs/site (actually, have to, if you get a couple of flame-mails for your postings;0)... but perhaps not as often...

My concern was/is that blogging is both about expressing one's opinion, as well is a form of sharing facts - a sort of "citizen's journalism"... that is why the suggestion if any bloggers can actually go, visit the place, talk to people about what it is like to study there - and blog that...

...it may also help bringing down the "we vs. they" tempo in this whole thing... and may encourage more mature and decent people in IIPM to talk about what is good or bad about the place (most people try to steer clear of "controversies")

Re Wikepedia, I felt that if the page was titled "controversy about IIPM" or something of that sort, it will be OK - but to build a page about an institute/ organisation, with no participation from any of the stakeholders (director, faculty, alumni, students, etc.), somehow does not look fair...madhukarhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/02721957971977767171noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6521860.post-1129295402329081732005-10-14T06:10:00.000-07:002005-10-14T06:10:00.000-07:00The virtual is indeed visting the real, Madhukar, ...The virtual is indeed visting the real, Madhukar, as you would have found out if you'd read enough of the blogs. Just three examples:

http://www.wadias.in/site/arzan/blog/archives/2005/10/iipm_a_web_of_m.html
http://curiousgawker.blogspot.com/2005/10/something-fishy-this-way-cometh.html
http://constructal.blogspot.com/2005/10/web-of-deception.html

Rashmi's piece was also exactly that. And much more investigative work into the "real" has happened, as will be revealed soon.

As for the wikipedia entry, the purpose of that is the same as the purpose of Rashmi's investigative piece was in the first place: to put the truth oput in the public domain. That way, a prospective student can make an informed choice.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.com
